Matoshri Government Girl's Hostel, Nashik

As per Government Resolution No. Vasati 5317/PR.No.9/Mashi-2 dated 18th October 2022, the Matoshri Government Girls’ Hostel located at Saraswati Nagar, Dhatrak Phata, Panchvati, Nashik has been established with the following seat distribution:

  • 75 girls from the targeted group of Maratha, Kunbi, Maratha-Kunbi, and Kunbi-Maratha categories through Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research Training and Human Development Institute (SARTHI), Pune
  • 75 girls from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Denotified Tribes (VJ), Nomadic Tribes (NT), and Special Backward Classes (SBC) through Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Research and Training Institute (Mahajyoti), Nagpur
  • 50 girls from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) through the Department of Higher and Technical Education

Thus, a total of 200 girls from targeted categories are accommodated in this hostel.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Admission will only be granted to girls who fulfill the document requirements and are eligible as per the category-wise seat distribution.
  2. If more applications are received than the allotted seats, priority will be as follows:
    • First Priority: Professional degree courses (e.g., Medical, Engineering, Law, Architecture, Agriculture, etc.)
    • Second Priority: Non-professional degree courses (e.g., Science, Commerce, Arts, etc.)
  1. If the number of applications exceeds the limit for professional courses:
    • Priority order: Postgraduate > Undergraduate > Diploma > ITI and equivalent
    • In case of excess applicants, preference will be given based on higher marks obtained in the previous year.
    • If marks are equal, age seniority will be considered.
  1. If the number of applications exceeds the limit for non-professional courses:
    • Priority will be given to girls pursuing postgraduate degrees.
    • In case of a tie, the same rule applies: higher marks first, then age seniority.
  1. Application submission does not guarantee admission. All applicants should note this carefully.
  2. Girls applying to this hostel facility must not have availed any other government hostel scheme or any financial assistance in lieu of hostel accommodation earlier.
