Distribution of Book Sets for Students Preparing for JEE/NEET Exams

  • Nature of Training:
    Mahajyoti distributes book sets for JEE/NEET exam preparation to students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Nomadic Tribes(VJNT) & Special Backward Class (SBC) in Maharashtra.
  • Annual Allotted Seats:
    8000 students (4000 for JEE and 4000 for NEET)
  • Eligibility Criteria:
    1. The student must be a resident of Maharashtra.
    2. The student must belong to OBC, VJNT & SBC categories and be from the Non-Creamy Layer income group.
    3. Students who have passed the 10th standard examination are eligible.
    4. The student must have taken admission in the Science stream in 11th standard. Supporting documents must be clearly and visibly attached.
    5. Selection will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the 10th standard, along with consideration of social category and parallel reservation criteria.
    6. A minimum of 70% marks is required for students from urban areas, and 60% for students from rural areas in the 10th standard examination.
    7. Whether a student is from an urban or rural area will be determined based on the address mentioned in the Aadhaar card.

    1. Aadhaar Card (front and back)
    2. Domicile Certificate
    3. Caste Certificate
    4. Valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate
    5. 10th Grade Marksheet
    6. Proof of Admission to 11th Science (Bonafide Certificate)
    7. Disability Certificate (if applicable)
    8. Orphan Certificate (if applicable)

Parallel Reservation:

    1. 30% of seats are reserved for women within each category.
    2. 5% of seats are reserved for persons with disabilities.
    3. 1% of seats are reserved for orphans.
  • Selection Procedure for Training:
    1. Applications are invited online through advertisements on Mahajyoti’s official website.
    2. After Scrutinizing the applications received the finale selection is made on the basis of merit list and category wise reservation based on the marks obtained in 10th standard.
